Walking/Swimming our way to Chinaman's Hat

With only a few months left living here in Oahu, Hawaii, Raphael and I decided that we will go to different beaches, restaurants, and parks here in the island of Oahu (specifically North Shore). We both have been focused in our studies that we forgot how wonderful and special this place is.
Over the weekend, my husband and I were very fortunate to go with the Addingtons, Mioles, and Burtons on their quest to Chinaman's Hat. We've always heard from our friends that we could walk our way to the island but never got the opportunity to do so and that is why we are very grateful that the Addingtons have granted our wish.
With the Miole's, we walked and swam our way to reach the Mokoli'i Island. Let me share to you a brief history of this island. According to my friend Wikipedia, the translation of Mokoli'i in Hawaiian is "Little Lizard". In old Hawaii, Hawaiians believe that the Mokoli'i Island is the remains of the Giant Lizard that was chopped off by goddess named Hi'iaka and was thrown in the ocean. Another reason why it is called the Chinaman's Hat because its looks like the hat worn by Asians or specifically Chinese people. I remember having a hat like that back home in the Philippines.
After a year (HAHAHAHAHA :p), we finally reached the Mokoli'i Island!!! Along with Addingtons, Burtons, and Miole's, we hiked our way through the left part of the island. When we arrived in our destination, we saw the beauty of the island. We call it a private beach. There was a small cave where you can just seat around, a foot spa place on top with small fishes to clean your feet, and just pure beauty of nature. Raphael and I were in awe of the island's beauty. We were just thinking about how much we are blessed to get the chance to live in this beautiful island. WHAT A GREAT PRIVILEGE!!!
We are so grateful to the Addingtons for inviting us to come with them on this wonderful journey. We are truly thankful for their kindness and for their wonderful example to Raphael and I. We are also grateful for the Burtons and Miole's who were kind enough to share their food.
