Bangui Windmills, Ilocos Norte 2015

My parents told me that we used to travel around Ilocos a lot, when I was young. Of course, I do not remember those days but our pictures are my only memories of it. Rap-Rap, on the other hand, lives 4-5 hours away from Ilocos Norte.

Bangui Windmills
One of the famous tourist spots around Ilocos Norte is the Bangui Windmills. The Bangui Windmills are considered to be the Southeast Asia's biggest turbines. There twenty windmills around the city of Bangui that generates electricity up to 1.65 Megawatts per turbine. Local residents use 40% of the electricity produce by the windmills.
The beauty of this technology is that we, Filipinos, are to use renewable energy resources to help reduce the global warming effect in our world.

Family Picture!
The ocean plus the windmills created a beautiful scenery that allows tourists, like us, to pose for a memorable photo. Although its very windy in the area, that didn't stop us from posing for pictures. :)

If you happen to drive by Ilocos Norte, do take time to see the Bangui Windmills. Also, there are awesome gift shops around the area sell keychains, shirts, and other souvenirs for you to purchase if you'd like to take a part of Bangui with you.

Our Bangui Windmill challenge for you is to pose for a jump shot with the windmills! Enjoy your visit!
