Hapag Vicentico's

For our first summer activity, there were no swimming involved because a friend visited me (you know what I mean!). Lol! So, we decided to eat our hearts out. With my line of work, I didn't get to enjoy the Holy Week because I was working until Saturday morning. Fortunately, I was allowed to leave early. I began searching for places to-be at in Cabanatuan City. Thanks to the "When In Manila" website we found great places to try out. One of our to-see places is the famous Hapag Vicentico's Restaurant. They gained popularity for serving fresh and authentic Filipino dishes.

Hapag Vicentico's did not disappoint us because this restaurant embodies the Filipino tradition and culture of families eating together. Hapag means dining table. For Filipino families, we usually call our dining table "Hapag Kainan". Our family traditions involve dining and spending time with each other eating together in our hapag kainan whether its an ordinary day or celebrating an occasion. Through this lovely tradition, we have developed deep relationships with our own family and our extended families.

The restaurant was built in a way that they could accommodate big families. Don't be shocked if you'll seldom see table for two because this restaurant is really for families. BUT! Don't get disappointed because they still accommodate couples. As the tradition goes, Filipinos are known for our hospitable trait.

Don't worry if your family is to big because this restaurant has so many long tables and they can accommodate you. The food they serve is truly authentic. They don't do short cuts here. We ordered Sinigang na Baboy and I was so amazed they didn't use Knorr ingredients. They cooked our sinigang using the Original Filipino Recipe which involves real sampaloc. Super Y-U-M-M-Y! Of course, we had to order something from their popular dishes. We chose their famous Lechon Kawali and my-oh-my it was THE best Lechon Kawali we've ever tasted. It was cooked perfectly. We didn't mind the long wait because the dishes were PERFECTO! ONO! DELICIOUS!

I love everything about this restaurant! Would you believe that we only spent 650php for our delicious meal. If we ate in Manila, we would have spent more than 650php! Their meals are truly for sharing and their price is very reasonable. You won't see that kind of price in Manila.
After eating, Rap and I went for a little stroll around their restaurant and took some pictures. We did enjoy our stay and we can't wait to go back!
